Sony has increased the recommended retail prices (RRPs) of PS5.
According to the official blog, "With the backdrop of a challenging environment, including high inflation and fluctuating exchange rates, Sony Interactive Entertainment has made a difficult decision to raise the recommended retail price of the PS5 console in Europe, EMEA, Australia and New Zealand.

The updated PS5 RRPs are effective starting April 14, as follows:
- In Europe and the UK, the cost of the standard PS5 is unchanged but the cost of the digital edition changed to €499.9 and £429.99.
- In Australia, a standard PS5 with an Ultra HD Blu-ray disc drive costs around AUD $829.95, while the digital edition price is around AUD $749.95.
- In New Zealand, a standard PS5 with an Ultra HD Blu-ray disc drive costs around NZD $949.95, while the digital edition price is around AUD $859.95.
Furthermore, in a similar move, the company has reduced the RRP of the PS5 Disc Drive in these regions.
Here's the new price of the Disc Drive:
- Europe: €79.99
- Australia: AUD $124.95
- New Zealand: NZD $139.95
- UK: £69.99
